Parking at DTW

General parking inquiries: 800-642-1978

Official Airport Parking: DTW offers official airport parking options that include short-term parking for faster access to terminals and more affordable long-term parking. The McNamara and Big Blue Deck parking garages are situated outside the terminals, while the Green Lots are located close to the Evans Terminal, but at a short distance.

For vehicles with a height exceeding 7 feet, the Green Lots are a suitable parking alternative as they have no height restrictions, unlike the covered garages. Passengers can take advantage of the courtesy shuttle buses that operate between the Green Lots and Ground Transportation Center for pick-up and drop-off.

Pick-up & Drop-off Parking: DTW offers 2 convenient cell phone waiting lots for pick-up or drop-off. One is located close to the Evans Terminal, while the other is situated near the McNamara Terminal. Visitors picking up their friends or family can park their vehicles for free at these waiting lots until they receive a call to pick up the passenger outside the terminal. For passengers being dropped off, can either be dropped off curbside outside the terminals or parked in the short-term parking lots for a quick and hassle-free drop-off experience.

Off-site and Hotel Parking: DTW has reasonably priced daily parking compared to other major U.S. airports. However, off-site parking lots can offer even cheaper rates. Using a third-party booking site such as airportparkingreservations.com, passengers can book parking for $12 per day.

These off-site parking options operate their own shuttle services to/from the airport, so although they are located further away, they still offer a convenient alternative to official airport parking.
