Mistral air is a former passenger airline that is headquartered in Rome and also an Italian cargo airline. This airline was established by an actor in 1981. The owner was the former swimmer Bud Spencer and started operations by 1984. It was solely owned by TNT N.V.but in March 2002 it had sold the 75% stake to Poste Italiane. The airlines would fly to holy sites like Poland and Mexico et cetera. The first flight was on 27 August 2007 and was transporting the Vicar of Rome, Cardinal CamilloRuini. But in May 2018, Poste Italiane announced that charter passenger flights and scheduled flights will stop to focus on cargo operations only.
