Freebird Airlines is a Turkish Charter Airline with an operating base at Istanbul Airport. Freebird is a part of Gozen Holding Company, the company with ground service in the fuel, supervision, brokerage and security for more than 85 companies. FreeBird Airlines was founded in June 2000 and then commenced operations on 5th April 2001. The initial route was between Istanbul and Lyon and the airlines owned McDonnel Douglas MD-83 Model Aircraft. In November of 2003, the airlines purchased its first AirBus A320-200 Model Aircraft. Today the entire fleet of FreeBird Airlines consists of Airbus A320-200 Model Aircrafts only. FreeBird Airlines was the first airline corporation in Turkey to receive 9001:2000 certification in the year 2002 by TUV Rheinland and it was also the first charter airline that received IOSA ( IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification by IATA (International Air Transport Association) in the July of 2006.

An infant from the age (0-2) years of age is allowed 10kgs of baggage. Strollers/pushchairs are accepted without any extra charges if the weight under 10kgs.
