Vladimir Denissov and Vladimir Sytnik established SCAT airline in 1997. The full form of SCAT is Special Cargo Air Transport. SCAT also founded Sunday Airlines as a new charter venture and subsidiary. For this, SCAT operates four Boeing 757-200s as well as one Boeing 767-300ER. The airline had signed a contract with the American corporation Boeing in 2018 to purchase 6 latest modernized aircraft.

On 29^th January 2013, the SCAT Airlines flight 760 crashed near Kyzyl Tuu because of the low visibility in the thick fog and move toward to Almaty International Airport. 16 passengers and 5 crew members were dead. But after this issue, the airline service became more careful about their every operation.
