Florida’s Amusement Parks: 4 Perfect Spots for a Family Trip

Do you love exciting entertainment and are looking for a great place for a family trip with your children? It's hard to imagine something better than Florida's amusement parks. Each of them offers something special, and therefore it would be a great experience to try them this summer.

They are located in different parts of the state, but most of them are concentrated in Orlando. We have prepared a small review that will allow you to find the best place to relax with kids. Also, a rental car will be the most convenient way to find a spot that you like. Rental24h in Orlando offers a wide selection of cars, and probably as a family traveler, a 7-seater minivan is perfect for you. Rental24h Orlando has everything you need for a successful car rental. As a result, you get the best deal at an affordable price.

As for amusement parks, we recommend visiting the following places...

SeaWorld Orlando

Sea World Orlando was opened on December 15, 1973, its territory occupies 81 hectares, and in terms of attendance it’s in 9th place among the amusement parks in the United States.

Visitors to the marine zoo-oceanarium can enjoy an unforgettable show of wonderful animals: seals, killer whales and dolphins. Incendiary theater performances on the water, including elements of acrobatics and ballet will impress both you and your kids. On the territory there are huge aquariums through which a glass corridor with a moving path is built. Tourists walking along it are surrounded by sharks and penguins passing by.

The park is so huge that even a few days are not enough to fully inspect it. There are pools with crocodiles and turtles, a reef with exotic fish, as well as pavilions with polar bears, flamingos, pelicans and sea lions.

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens is the fourth most popular U.S. theme park. Its territory is inhabited by 2 thousand species of animals. The park was founded in 1959 and differs from the rest with African themes. Most animals are kept in conditions that closely resemble their native habitat. Tourists from a safe distance get acquainted with the unique inhabitants of the Black Continent: lions, tigers, sperm whales, monkeys, alligators.

Those who are not distinguished by a fierce disposition are allowed to feed animals from their hands - goats enjoy carrots with pleasure, and parrots peck grains from the palms of children. If desired, you can watch how the predators take food, and professional employees bring lunch to them.

The territory of the park is huge. Visitors move on foot along it, but there is also a cable car and a small train with passenger cars running from where you can explore all the sights and decide where to go first.

Fans of extreme relaxation will be offered to ride a jeep, go down the rough waters of the Congo, and feel the adrenaline on the rope ladder. For the most fearless, they hold a competition in tug of war with a huge tiger.

Universal Studios Florida

The complex was opened in 1990 and allows visitors to touch the magic of creating cartoons and movies. On its territory there are special attractions that imitate popular scenes from films, and some even give you the opportunity to look at the process of creating movies or even take part in the filming process.

Universal Studios Florida consists of 6 zones:

  • Hollywood, where tourists find themselves in the center of events of "Terminator" movie;
  • New York – for the fans of disasters;
  • Production Central – it’s especially popular among children;
  • Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone - the territory of the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker, where water games and various interactive entertainments are at visitors’ disposal;
  • World Expo - the most amazing park of the complex, dedicated to the two most popular films “Back to the Future” and “Men in Black”.

Coming to the Universal Amusement Park is better on weekdays rather than on weekends. It’s advisable to arrive in advance in order to have time to park your car and visit the most interesting places.

Walt Disney World Orlando

Walt Disney World attracts tourists primarily due to its scale. Its area exceeds 100 square kilometers. The most popular part is the Magic Kingdom - the main attraction and the most visited object of the amusement park. It’s a real boulevard of the 19th century created as if by magic. Here, anyone who wishes can easily walk along the cobblestone paths, ride old carriages, and admire antique lampposts. Cozy themed restaurants are placed along the road, offering visitors to satisfy hunger with mouth-watering dishes.

The kingdom is home to all the favorite characters of films and cartoons: Snow White, Fairytale Prince, Dwarfs, Mickey Mouse, etc. Everyone can take an exciting journey on a ship, fight pirates or meet many dangers in the fairy jungle.

In the center of the magical land is Cinderella's Palace - a beautiful and a picturesque building. Nearby is the Haunted Mansion - a gloomy building full of ghosts and vampires.

Generally, the complex includes 4 wonderful theme zones, 2 large water parks, 25 hotels, as well as a lot of eateries, cafes, shops and souvenir shops. Thus, it’s recommended to visit it anyway!
