What Are Caribbean Airlines Cancellation Policy?

Caribbean airlines have a 24-hour cancellation policy under which the airline allows the passengers to cancel their ticket within 24 hours of booking it, only if your itinerary include one sector to/from North America(U.S.A and Canada) and if the ticket was purchased directly from the airline’s official website, via telephone through the Caribbean Airlines Reservations and Service Centre, via mobile app or at the airport counter. The passengers who pass all the above-mentioned criteria will be allowed the airline to cancel or change their ticket within the first 24 hours of booking it and the airline won’t charge any fee to them. The 24-hour policy doesn’t apply to domestic travel between Trinidad & Tobago.

Refundable Ticket Cancellation Policy

Caribbean Airlines' cancellation policy for refundable tickets applies to all Flex and Biz Flex tickets in which the airline provides full refunds to its passengers including taxes. The refund will be processed to the passengers within 7-20 days of applying for the refund.

Non-Refundable Ticket Cancellation Policy

Caribbean Airlines' cancellation policy for a non-refundable ticket, apply to all lite, classic and biz tickets in which the airline provides either a 50% refund or no refund to the passengers travelling through Caribbean airlines

No Show Cancellation Policy

The airline's policy in case of no show is very clear that the passenger will forfeit any right to ask for a refund if in case he/she forgets to cancel the ticket or inform the airline about the fact that he/she won’t be able to travel. The airline won’t provide any refund including taxes in the case of no show.

Cancellation Policy In Case of Death And Illness 

The airline will provide a full refund in case of the death or hospitalisation of an immediate family member. The list of immediate family members includes: parents, siblings, grandparents, spouses, kids and legal guardians. In both cases, the passenger has to submit a few documents to the airline for the waiver. 

  • In case of death, the person has to submit a death certificate with proof of relations.
  • In case of illness, hospitalisation proof with proof of relations is needed.

Note: If the person didn’t cancel the ticket, the above-mentioned waivers won’t apply.

Note: All refunds will be made to the original form of payment used for the ticket purchase, i.e. if you paid by credit card, the refund will be made to your credit card; if made by cash, a cheque will be generated in settlement of your claim.
