Air Koryo is the state-owned national flag carrier airline of North Korea, headquartered in Sunan-guyŏk, Pyongyang. Based at Pyongyang International Airport, it functions as an international charter and scheduled services to points in Asia.
The earliest regular charter flights between North Korea and South Korea started in 2003. The Very First Air Koryo flight operated by some Tupolev Tu-154 touched down at Seoul's Incheon International Airport. Air Koryo operated 40 yield services to Seoul, along with flights into Yangyang and Busan in South Korea.
Inter-Korean charters in Hamhung's Sondok Airport to Yangyang International in South Korea started in 2002. Nowadays, there are no inter-Korean flights, because of laws in both countries. In 2014, Air Koryo operated a series of services to Seoul Incheon International Airport with Tu-204 and An-148 aircraft for the Asian Games.
Air Koryo operated an airline interline partnership with Aeroflot (SkyTeam) on services radiating from Vladivostok and Pyongyang before 2017 after it was forced to close the agreement due to newly imposed sanctions.

Carry-on rules
Those articles which are suitable to be carried in the passenger car, like a mobile computer or attache instance, are allowed to function with passengers in cabin. It needs to be suitable for putting in the closed overhead rack or under the passenger's seat provided the entire amount of its three dimensions doesn't exceed 115 cm(45 inches) and also the entire weight doesn't exceed 5 kg. Each passenger can carry one piece of those above-mentioned articles. The weight of carry-on baggage will be included in the free baggage allowance.

Carry-On Baggage
Air Koryo passengers are permitted to bring on-board the aircraft one piece of cabin baggage, plus one personal item, such as a briefcase, camera bag or small backpack. Your carry-on baggage should fit into the Air Koryo overhead bins or under the seat in front of you.
Carry-on baggage cannot exceed 114 centimetres in combined width, length and height; this includes any wheels and handles– with the exception of some of the musical instruments that fit in the Air Koryo overhead compartment space or under-seat space available at the time of boarding.

Due to limited overhead space, Air Koryo passengers travelling on flights with 50 seats or less are only permitted to carry one personal item on-board the Air Koryo aircraft.

The pets must fit within a carrier box that, in turn, fits under the seat in front. The carrier counts as one piece of Air Koryo carry-on luggage.
