Air France offers online check-in and boarding pass downloads. With this, passengers can check in for their flight and print their boarding pass 24 hours before departure.

The following passengers cannot check in online with Air France:

• A stopover on your journey entails a change of airports (except within Paris between Orly and Charles de Gaulle).
• You used Flying Blue Miles to upgrade online.
• You've reserved a second seat.
• You're traveling on an Air Bulgaria flight out of Sofia.
• Your trip includes some train travel (except Strasbourg or Brussels)
• You are flying out of Luxembourg, Seoul, Seville, Vigo, Verona, Palma, Helsinki, Bern, Hanoi, Alicante, Bern, Damascus, Genoa, Ljubljana, or Malta.

Note: You can check in online for the following flights, but you'll need to produce your check-in confirmation at the e-services or check-in counter to get a boarding ticket at the airport:

• Flights out of Mumbai, Cairo, Havana, Havana, Algiers, Punta Cana, and Havana.
• Flights between Paris and CDG, Tel Aviv, and Marseille.
• AIR&RAIL journeys that include a rail section from Strasbourg or Brussels.

2. Check-in using Mobile App for Air France

In most airports, beginning 30 hours before departure and continuing until the check-in deadline for your flight, you can check in online using the Air France mobile app (but 24 hours before departure for flights from Detroit and Atlanta, and Delta Airlines flights from the US). You can check-in and scan your passport at some kiosks.

You can also, if your ticket allows it, change your flight and take an earlier flight when checking in at the self-service kiosk at the airport.

• If your ticket allows it, switch your flight and board an earlier flight.
• If your return flight leaves within 24 hours of your arrival, check-in for it.
• Change or confirm your seat.
• Print a summary of your journey.
• Pay supplementary fees. (Available in all U.S. cities, excluding Chicago and France).
• Make sure your Flying Blue Card number is registered for the flight.
• Purchase/book add-ons like Seat Plus, additional baggage at the airport fare, etc.
• To self-tag, your bags, print off your baggage tags.

The following self-service kiosk check-in:

Now that your luggage has been delivered to the EXPRESS counter, you can go to the exit gate.

4. Check-in at the airport desk

Air France advises that you get to the airport at least two hours before departure. This guarantees that you will have ample time to check your bags, pass through immigration, and go through security.

The boarding doors shut:

How to cancel check-in with Air France

Depending on your departure and arrival at airports, the deadline for Air France check-in cancellations varies from 15 to 90 minutes before departure.

To cancel your check-in, take the following actions:

1. Check out AirFrance.com.
2. Select the "Check-in" tab.
3. Then select the link that says "Cancel my check-in" that appears at the bottom of the page (below the Check-in button, as shown below).
4. Please provide your flight number and a ticket number.
5. To cancel your check-in, click the button.

Boarding

You don't have to worry about the check-in deadline if you checked in for your Air France flight before going to the airport and you don't have any checked baggage. To make it to the boarding gate before it closes, you can arrive at the airport a bit later.

You must arrive at the airport and check in your luggage before the check-in cutoff time if you have checked your bags and have checked in for your trip.
